5.2 Initiate tools, equipment and materials check in, check out CAUTICN: The maintenance of Reacter Internal Vent Valve is hazardcus both to workmen and internals of reactor vessel.
Extreme care and caution must be exercised at all times.
5.3 Curing vent valve handlir.g cperations, refuelinq canal water level shall be maintained at least 2 and r.o greater than 5 inches celow under side of access platfccm.

7.0 PROCETURE_
Initial conditions - valve installation.
l.1 Internal indexing fixture in place en reactcr vessel flanne.
7.1.1 Plenum assembly removed and stored in internals storage stand.
Access platform installed on internals indexing fixture 7.1.2 Refueling canal water level shall be between 2 to 6 inches 7.1.3 belcw underside of access platform, unless radiation levels permit a lcwer level.

7.18 Move tool towards the valve until sockets are directly above the jackscrews. Wrench linkage should be released by removing pin to permit sockets to " find" their position while lowering.
7.19 Using a chainfall lower tool over sockets, (using handgrip to guide s
tool) until slack beccmes evident in rigging or dial registers loss i
of load.
Should tool come to rest at an intermediate point it will indicate that sockets have not properly aligned. Wrenches should be moved slightly to bring scckets into engagement with hex on jackscrews.
7.20 Lcwar tool to rest.
Note that u;per jaws will engage dowels in
' valve as tcol is lowered to engage sockets.
7.21 Turn handwheel tight to clamp tool to valve.
7.22 Take all slack cut of rigging using chainfall.
7.23 Synchronice wrenches by pinning linkace.
Turn on-off selectors on wrencres as required to permit free movement.
(Do not turn jackscrews).
Turn selectors to "off" cn both wrenches.
CAUTICN:
Use dial on tool wrenches to aid in keeping jackscrews synchroniced.
7.24 Using center handle te operate wrenches and handgrip on tcol to take reaction, the jackscrews can be fully released.
7.25 '<,' hen jackscrews are fully released, valve can be moved away from its seat usinc main fuel crane and manually guiding valve with handgrip cn tool.
7.26 Y.ove valve clear of internals and hoist clear.
CAUTION:
Mclitcr radiaticn levels as valve is raised.
If appreciable increase as deterair.ud by H.P. persenr.el is noted personnel shCJld be evacuated from Working platform and valve m '
