REQUEST FOR FILTER AIRLIFT Request initiated by Roger M0ttson, NRC, located TMI site.
Request validated by NRC HQ by E. Jordan.
The fcilowing equipment is urgently needed for use in the Auxiliary Building, TMI, to control possible releases of radiciodine:
Four (4) mine safety filters; sized approximately 14 x 13 x 26 feet, each weighing 26,000 pounds.
B. Cockrell (509-375-5311) will arrange for the filters to arrive at Larson AFB (Grant County Airport) in the State of Washington.
Request he be contacted by airlif t commander for needed time of arrival for airlift to Harrisburg PA airport.
Funding will be covered by General Public Utilities, the parent company.
for Metropolitan Edison as verified by C. Farrell of GPU Purchasino, (717-944-4041).
Request above 4 each 26,000 pound filters be loaded and airlifted from Larson AFB to Harrisburg airport and then trucked to TMI - attention of Roger Mattson (717-944-0301).
