\\>,ry N/rl April 12, 1979 MEMORANDUM FOR:

Roger S. Boyd, Director Division of Project Management FROM:

L. P. Crocker Technical Assistant to the Director Division of Project Management

SUBJECT:

TOPICS FOR SPECIAL ACRS MEETING I received a telephone call frcm Rags Muller, ACPS staff, at 3:30 P.M.

on April 11, 1979, regarding additional topics for the special ACRS meeting on April 16, 1979.

Dr. Gkrent had called the ACRS staff, requesting that when we meet with the Committee on 16 April, we be prepared to discuss the following:

a.

He would like to have NRC staff people present who can address small breaks and other transients in S&W plants.

b.

He would like to know our assessment of how the incident would have progressed had we not had offsite power available.

Rags has advised B&W (Jim Taylor's office) of this request.

Rags also pointed out that for the ACRS meeting on Pebble Springs (held in January 1978) Mr. Ebersole had raised a number of questions, many of which seem to parallel quite closely the scenario of TMI-2.

We prob-ably would do well to review these questions and the applicant responses prior to meeting with the Comnittee. Carl Stable has copies.
