-) confim the conversation between Mr. G. A. Kunder, Unit 2 Superintei.Jent Technical Support, and Mr. D. Haverkamp, Region I NRC at 1600 hours0.0185 days <br />0.444 hours <br />0.00265 weeks <br />6.088e-4 months <br /> on February 14, 1979.
A situation considered reportable under technical specification 6.9.1.8.b was discovered at 1330 hours0.0154 days <br />0.369 hours <br />0.0022 weeks <br />5.06065e-4 months <br /> on February 14, 1979, when it was detemined that the limiting condition for operation (LCO), action a, for T.S.3.1.2.9 was not invoked when surveillance procedure, 2304-Ul, data obtained on February 8,1979 showed a baron concentration for the Boric Acid Mix Tank in excess of 13,125 ppm (13,788 ppm actual boron concentration).
This event occurred due to personnel error in that the individuals performing and approving the surveillance did not recognize that the result did not meet the acceptance criteria.
The Boric Acid flix tank boron concentration was reduced to T.S. limits on February 14, 1979.
Further details and corrective action will be discussed in the followup report.
