Three Mile Island, Unit 2 entered the =enth with the Unit in Mode 5 verking en vacuum cutnge items and en main ste1= piping restrsints.
On Septe=ber 7, vacuu: vas established in the condenser and feedvater heating commenced. On September 9, unit heatup ectmenced in order to continue with the test progra=.
On September 11, it was determined that the pressurizer spray line was blocked '
by the disc of RC-V3 A cecidevn was cc= enced to replace RC-V3 sten and disc asse bly.
The unit returned to Mode 3 at ih58 en September ik.
At C020 cc September 15th, the centrcl roc: received a Reacter Suilding fire alar =.
Investigation revealed a cracked fitting en the "3" e=ergency feed header and unit cocidavn was cen=enced at 0055. At 1900 en September 16, the veld repair cf the cracked EF syste: fitting was approved and heatup ec= enced. The reactor achievel criticality at 2029 en September 17, and the turbine was placed on the grid at 100 My at 13k2 en Septe=ber 18.
At 2212 en September 19, the reacter was tripped for the Ehutdown Cutside Central Ecc: test. The Unit returned to power a 06h0 on September 20 and 15% pcver level ICS tuning continued. At 1606 en Septenber 20, the reactor tripped frc: 20% power en high pressure due to a 1:ss of a condensate beester pu=p and a : sin feed pump. The reactor tripped en high pr4ssure due to problems with the main feed pump.
The Unit returned to power at 10k0 cn September 21 cnd power was increased to 305 for I:s tuning. At 0925 en Septe. ber 22, the turbine was manually tripped per the turbine test procedure and the reactor successfully ran back to 15% power. At 1950 :n September 22, unit shutdown ec= enced to allow repairs of a leaking cerex connection en the special instrumentatien installed in "B" stea= generater.
The Unit entered Mede 5 at 0853 c= Septe=ber 23 and repair verk ec==enced.
The reacter was taken critical at 06h5 en Septe=ber 25 and the Unit returned to 155 power at 0915 At 2056 cn Septe ber 25, the reactor tripped frc= 175 power on high pressure due to the main feed punp tripping on lov suction pressure. The Unit returned to 20% power at 0537 en September 26.
Reactor power was increased to h0% at 1230 en September 23 to continue with the LO5 power plateau testing.
At 2355 en September 30, pcver vis reduced to 355 for physics testing per Tp 800/5 Major Safety Related Maintenance 1.
Peplaced sten and dis: assembly in EC-V3 (pressuric+r spray line 'cicek valve).
