This guide was issued in May 1973 to provide guidance to licensees and applicants on i n s.e r v i c e inspt crion of Class 2 and 3 components of nuclear power plants.
This guidance has been incorporated in the 1974 edition of Section XI of the Acerican Society of Mechanical Engineers Loiler and Pressure Vessel Code.
Current licensing practice is based on reference to the Code and this guide is, therefere, no longer needed.
The withdrawal of this guide does not affect licensing concittents for construction, design and access provisions, and preservice examination made o.. the basis of the guide.
Regulatory guides tay be withdrawn when equivalent recon-mendations have been incorporated in applicable and approved codes and standards or when changes'in methods and techniques have made them obsolete.
