Dear Ms. Quigg:
This is in partial response to your letter dated April 20, 1979, in which you requested, pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, access to all records which refer or relate to the leaks in the spent fuel pool of the Zion Nuclear Station from 1970 to the present.
The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (fiRC) has established an NRC Local Public Document Room (LPDR) in the Zion-Benton Public Library, 2600 Emmaus Avenue, Zion, Illinois. is a listing of the categories of information which is on file in the LPDR.
The purpose of the LPDR is to provide access to all publically available agency records relating to the Zion facility to interested persons who live in the vicinity of the facility.
The records subject to your request are contained in the " Applicant Correspondence", " Inspection" and " Reportable Occurrence" files.
All records in the LPDR are available for inspection.
Any additional records subject to your request which can be disclosed to the public will also be placed in the LPDR.
You will be advised of any records denied and the basis for the denial.
