Ben Rusche The results from Nuclear Consulting Services (L. Kovach) show that the charcoal adsorbers to be used in U-l replacement have an efficiency of 88% for CH 1.

This is much lower than that required by Regulatory 3

Guide 1.52 for ESF systems of 99%.

Kovach recommends that the adsorbers be trucked to Columbus where he can treat them wi th TETA, dry them in his nvens and return them to TMI.

Th's impregnation coald result in CH 1.

If time permits I wou!d,trongly sn efiiciency of 95-99% for 3

recommend that you have these treated.
