Denton, Director Of fice of Nuclear Reactor Regulation RE-ORGANIZATIONAL GUIDELINES A chart showing the management units and individuals established by GPU for recovery operations of the Three Mile Island Unit 2 facility is attached.
To assure that we interface properly with this organization, the following guidelines for communicating with the organization have been established:
1.
Any requests for new ef forts or significant additions for analyses, evaluations or for change in operations, are to be coordinated through Fred Stern.
2.
Results of analyses done by us or our contractors should be transmitted to;GPU through Fred Stern's task manage-ment group.
3.
Routine operations already in progress, such as procedure review, monitoring surveys, sampling ;hould continue.
Any

requests for information known to exist and which would not be a burden to the staff can be requested but exercise carefully your judgement of what the impact of that request might be on priority tasks.
4 Significant work items for the licensee should not be initiated by IE personnel unless they ar'e first cleared with the l&E Director's Staff for the ICE operations.
All other NRC activities arc to be cleared through me or my designees.
