RESIDENT QA STAFF FOR DAILY SURVEILLANCE OF TMI-2 ACTIVITIES

A memorandum to V. -Stello frcm' the NRR review team dated April 21, 1979 indicates IE has established a resident QA staf f experienced in mechanical, electrical, and civil engineering disciplines, wAlding and NDE to provide daily surveillance of activities at THI-2.
I recommend we establish who this resident staff is and how they function through ensite IE supervisica to ensure all of the areas indicated in the NRR memo are covered.
If we de not wi'sh to provide all the indicated coverage, we should inform FRR of what coverage we are providing and have them modify their safety analysis report accordingly.
