unescorted access badges to NRC personnel.
Adherence to the attached procedure will ensure that NRC personnel receive a badge with a minimum of difficulty.

NRC employees reporting for duty at TMI should follow the following * "~
procedure:
a.
Enter through South Cate.
At bridge the EMI security
" ET~
guard will issue an " Escorted Access Only" badge upon presentation of NRC credentialc.

Drive to second check point, park car and go to the trailer w'ith'the sign " Check In Here."
Fill out forms to receive TMI TLD dosimeter.
If difficulty is encountered at any point, call one of the following commercial numbers:

However, TMI TLD's are only issued from 7:00 a.m. through 11:30 p.m.

After receiving TLD proceed immediately to NRC trailer areas.
DO NOT CO TO LICENSEE TRAININC at this point.
Report to one of the following:

The individual who requests that an NRC employ ee report 'for duty at

the TMI site MUST provide John McOscar, Trailer 18 with the following information ist least 24 hours2.777778e-4 days <br />0.00667 hours <br />3.968254e-5 weeks <br />9.132e-6 months <br /> before the individual arrives at TMI:

Social Security Number d.
Will they require RWP authorization?
Will they require access to areas requiring use of respiratory e.
protection?
(Many RWP areas at TMI also require respiratory protection) f.
Will they require access to Unit I?
If so a brief reason will expedite handling.
Persons who require access to areas requiring respiratory protection must either:
a.
Bring a certification, signed by a doctor that they can safely use respiratory protection or;

Have a physical onsite.
Onsite Physicals are not given on any regular schedules, so this approach may result in a delay of one or more days.
