This is an upda te on data last updated on 4/9/79, which went to the s e addressees.

During this three day period, 12 soil sampics, 7 rain water R ples, 25 standing w iter sa ples, 30 grass samples, and 3 charcoal and I silver ge! filter air c oples were analy ed using a Ce-Li gaina spec t ro,,e ter.

All s w ples were generally collected in the environs of the Three Mile island p wer station in the path of air discharges r'rca the s ta t ion.

All of the grass sampics, except for two that were taken directly cast across the river frco the power plant, indicated that iodine-131, if present, was less than the mininu, detectable activi ty (MDA) value, which is less than 0.03 nanocuries per square neter.

The two samples that shcwed the presence of iodine contained 0.03 and 0.26 nanocuries per square rneter.
