Dear Mr. Pack:
Enclosed are Volumes 1 2, and 3 of the Preliminary Safety Analysis Report filed by Jersey Central Power & Light Company with its appli-cation for authorization to construct and operata the Oystar Creek Nuclear Canarating Station Unit 2.
The proposed reactor vill be located adjacent to the asisting Oyster Creek Unit I nuclear reactor on the applicant's s'.ta in Lacey Township, Ocean County, New Jersey.
At the Cons:ission's request, the U. S. Weather Bureau rsviewed the Oystar Creek Nuclear Power Plant Unit No. 1 Preliminary Safeguards Su:nmary Raport and application Amenduent No. 2, and on June 3,1964 and July 23, 1964, furnished courants on those docu:nents. Copies of the cc:sments are enclosed for your reference. Plasse review the enclosed voluines and provide u.s with your e-ts on the meteoro-logical aspects of the Oyster Creek site which might have a bearing upon our safety revisy of the Oystar Creek Nuclear Generating Station Unit 2.
