Dear Mr. Giarbusso:
Your letter of November 20, 1972 requested that an analysis be performed to determine the consequences of fuel densification on the subject nuclear stations. The NSSS supplier (3abcock & Wilcox Corp.)
will submit, to the Co _.ission, and to Metropolitan Edison Coccany, a generic topical report concerning fuel densification the week of January 1, 1973.
However, a review of the application of the infor:ation contained in the B&W generic topical report to the subject nuclear stations by the applicant will require additional time beyond the 45 day response period suggested in your letter. Applicant will submit the necessary inforna-tion upon co:pletion of this review.
It is anticipated that the T'!I Unit 1 material will be filed on Februar r 5,1973, and the TMI Unit 2 caterial will be filed on March 5,1973.
