Jersey Central Prarer & Light Company and Metropolitan Edison Corpany have jointly filed A.er.dsent Po. 6 to facility license application for the previously designated Oyster Crack Unit 2 nuclear reactor. Iho applicants have selected as a new site for the reactor the Three Mile Island Nuclear Station in Dauphin County, Pacusylvania, and have re-designated the reactor as the Three Mila Island Nuclear Station Unit 2.
Volnman 1 through 4 of the Pr=1 %fnavy Safety Analysis Report (PSAR) for the Three Mila Island Nuc1 car Station Unit 2 are enclosed. This FSAR conenina all information previously furnished in the Oyster Creek t%it 2 PSAR and amendments thereto. In addition, new information is provided that conenras site-related changes as identified in the inder.
Because the site features were reviewed previously for Metropolitan Ediscn's Ihree Mile Inland Unit 1 and since the proposed Unit 2 is sini-lar to Unit 1 now under construction, it may be possible in cer+h cases to nerely reference the applicability of your previous report on Unit 1.
