GA0 INVESTIGATION OF TMI We have been notified by the House Subco=,ittee on Energy and Po.ver (Dingell) that Mr. Dingell will be requesting that GAO conduct an investigation of the Three Mile Island incident.
This investigation will cover the broad range of issues associated with the incident (i.e. training of reactor coerators, possible statutory impediments to necessary agency actions, the tax edvantages to bringing the plant on line in December), as well as the events of the incident itself.
In addition, he is reques;ing that the 'iAO monitor the investigations being concucted by the NRC and the Presidential Commission.
