FROM:

Peter A. Bradford it seems to me that something along the attached lines should be inserted wherever appropriate in the testicony for the Hart hearings.

It is information that Senator Hart would later be quite surprised not to have been told at this hearing, cc:

k PPOPOSED It! SERT TO CHAIFf1A'!'S TESTIf10.'lY BEFORE SEf!ATOR HART-tiEe or another from Friday morning thrcugh Sunday, members At on9 of the senice staff and various Com~.issicners pro, nosed either stronger advisories or actual evacuation of people within a two or five mile circle around Three Mile Island.

However, the estimates from I!RC staff at the site remained considerably more optimistic than those which could be based on the more limited information available to us in Washington or Gethesda.

Consequently, s tronger recomendations were not made to Governor Thornburg.

The precise tining and content of the various proposed Commission recommendations will certainly be rude public as soon as all of the relevant tapes and notes can be revie. led and transcribed.

The inforca-tion will then be promptly furnished to the Congress.
