REVIEW 0F METROPOLITAN EDIS0tt C34PANY'S REQUEST TO EXTE!D THE COMPLIANCE DATE FOR ANSI H45.2.9 FOR THREE MILE ISLAND (TMI) UNIT NO. 2 The Quality Assurance Branch has reviceed the request (January 25, 1978 letter from J. G. Herbein to S. A. Varga) to extend THI's compliance wf th ANSI tMS.2.9 to June 1, 1979. As a result of our review, we find that adequate infomation has not been subnitted in order to fully evaluate this request. Therefore, additional information is required frca Metro-politan Edison Company describing the specific sections of ANSI N45.2.9 that TI4I is unable to comply with and the reasons and proposed alternatives with supporting detail. Also, TMI should identify the date and revision nu=ber of ANSI M45.2.9 they are taking exception to.
