Incanplete Enclosed is a revision to the draft Safety Evaluation Report for the Three Mile Island Nuclear Station, Unit 2.
At the time Reffsfon 1 to the SER (memcrandts: frorJ R. Tedesco,to D. Vassallo dated March 16, 1977) was written, we indicated that the applicant intended to limit contaiment purging during non nal plant operation to 90 hours0.00104 days <br />0.025 hours <br />1.488095e-4 weeks <br />3.4245e-5 months <br /> per year (about 1 percent of the time). However, our acceptance of this approach aas contingent upon the finding by the MEB that the purge line isolation valves would be capable of closing during the design basis loss of coolant accident. The attached revision clarifies this point and identifies the Mechanical Engineering Branch as having t4. responsibility.
