SUMMARY

OF MEETING ON STE.UI LINE 3REAK Representatives of the applicant and his contractors met with members of the staff on September 7, 1977 to discuss the postulated unmitigated steam line break acciden during the first fuel cycle of TMI-2. The applicant presented the results of their analyses for two cases (full RC flow and RC pump coas down), identifying their assumptions and stating these represented bounding cases for core performance. The core remained subcritical throughout. The sub-critical return to power was lower than in their previous FSAR analysis and the minimum,DN3R was approximately two. Handcuts covering this presentation are enclosed. It was agreed that the applicant would document this information and that.we would identify which information we desired this submittal to contain. (The latter was done-by telecopy and telecon on September 9, 197. No objection was voiced by the applicant as of the date of :his summary.)
