On Friday, December 21, 1973., I initiated a tele-phone call to Mr. Douglas E. Baker, Executive Co-Director of Environmental Coalition on Nuclear Power.

I informed him of a letter dated December 15, 1973, from Virginia Southard, Chairaan of the Citizens for a Safe Environ.nent, in which that group withdrew from the proceedingc regarding the Juniata

the Director of Regulation determined tha t off-site cons truc-tion activities of the Juniata transmission line should no longer be suspended.

The Determination provided that the filing of a request for hearing on the determination would stay the effectiveness of the order rescinding suspension pending appropriate disposition of the reques t.

Intervenors have now announced their withdrawal from these pr iceedings.

This withdrawal removes the necessity for a hearing.

Therefore, the Licensing Board terminates 62 ' 2.S'Z
