UNI""ED STATES NUCLEAR REGULA~ERY CCM1ISSICU DCCKET NO. 50-320 PSTPCPCLITAN EDISCG CC0LPA'Tl JERSEY CEiT'iAL PNE.R & LIGn'T CCMPANY PENNSYLVANIA ELEC'"RIC CGhANY THREE MILE ISIRiD NUCLEAR STATICN, UNIT 2 NOTICE CF ISSURCE CF A%E.Th!D72 ?] FACILITY CPERATING LICriSE The U.S. Nuclear Pagulatory Commission (the Commission) has issued Amendment 1 to Facility Cperating License No. DPR-73, issued to the Metropolitan Edison Company, Jersey Central Pcwer & Lignt Company, and Pennsylvania Electric Company, for cperating of the Three Mile Island Nuclear Station, Unit 2 (the facility), located in Dauphin Ccunty, Pennsylvania. The a:rendment is effective as of its date of issuance.
'Ihe license is a: rended by adding paragraph H. to Attachment 2 to the Operating License DPR-73, which waives certain requirements of the Technical Specifications until initial criticality is achieved.
Tre application for the amendment ccmplies with the standards and requirements of the Atomic Energy Act of 1953, as amended (tne Act), and the Comission's rules and regulaticas. The Cc:rmission has made appropriate findings as required by the Act and the Cc:rmissicn's rules and regulations in 10 CFR Chapter I, which are set forth in the licens i amendment. Prior public notice of this anendment was not required since te amendment dces not involve a significant hazards consideration.

The Co:anission has determined that the issuance of this amendzen will not result in any significant environmental i. pact and nat pursuant to 10 CFR S51'd)(4), and environmental statement or negative declaration and environmental impact appraisal need not be prepared in connection with issuance of this amendment.
