This Depart-.ent has reviewed the draf t supplement to the Three Mile Island Nuclear Station, Unit 2 final envirc= ental impact statement.
We support the ten recc=mendations in paragraph 6.6.1 cn pages 6-9 for improving the preoperational radiclogical environmental monitcring program.
In discussing the radiological impact en man of this Jacility, there is no data presented en the maximum expcsure to an individual living in the immediate vicinity of the site or in the surrounding region.
The only actual numbers given are for the U.S. population dose cc=mitment in man / rems.
While this is valuable information frem an overall pcpulatien-dese standpoint, it does not provide sufficient information concerning projected exposure to individuals or small groups of persens residing in the areas mentioned areve who would be subject to the highest possible expcsures frem the plant operatices.
Thank you for the opportunity to review the dccument.
