The inspection was linited due to a fire on January 19, 1971, which destroyed several temporary structures.
It appears that e=phasis is being placed on Unit No. 1.
The latest e s t i-.a t e fcr co pletion of Unic "o. 2 is early 1974. Work has been te=porarily stopped on the cooling towers and other long lead items have been deferred in a conservation =ove by Metropolitan Edison.

Procure =ent documents for piping has been revised to include require =ents for hydrostatic testing by the. vendor and qualification of NDT personnel.
The stea= generator support was inspected for conformance with codes, speci-fications, and PSAR co==it=ents.
