Dear Mr. Chilk:
On August 26, 1976, we obtained from the Public Document Room an unsigned, unsworn and undated document en-titled " Petition to Intervene" which states that it is being filed by the Environmental Coalition on Nuclear Power.
This document petitions the Cc=ission "for leave to intervene in this proceeding."
The Petition includes a number of conten-tions relating to the cost-benefit analyses determined for Three Mile Island Nuclear Station, Unit 2.
No copies of the
" Petition" were served on Metropolitan Edison Ccmpany, its co-licensees or its undersigned counsel.
The cover letter which transmitted this and other petitions to the Secretary of the Commission referred to affi-davits and authorizations, in addition to the petitions.

Please advise us whether such additional documents have been received and if so, please forward them to the undersigned or direct the petitioners to do so.
Metro-politan Edison Company will file a response to the " Petition to Intervene" five days after receipt of the affidavits and authorizations.
We respectfully request th.at the Commission await our response before taking any action on the " Petition to Intervene."
