ENCLOSURE 3 Testing Procram The licensee's preccerational testing program is divided into two phases. The first phase is construction testing. These tests consist of system hydrostatic tests, flushes, and electrical and instrumentation checkout. At the completion of this phase the system is turned over to General Public Utilities (GPU) Test and Startup Group. The second phase is preoperatidnal testing which consists of functional tests, verifications that demonstrate the ccmoonents ability to perform their design function, and operational tests. These tasts are performed on an integrated system or an individual system basis. Folicwing precperational testing the systems are turned over to the operating comcany (. Met Ed) for Startup Test Prcgram performance. A. Preccerational Test Program Seventy Category I-III tests are identified in the FSAR es preoper-ational tests. The folicwing is the statQs of those tests: No. of tests % Comoleted 32 0-25 8 26-50 9 51-75 21 76-100 B. Startuo Test Program Status All startup test procedures have been written. C. r ENCLOSURE C Construction Status Construction and/or ccnstruction testing is not complete on the fcilcw-ing systems: A. Environmental Barrier System B. Earthquake Detection System C. Penetraticn Pressurization D. Weather Tower Manitcring E. 480 V AC Electrical Ecuipment The GPU Test and Startuo Group has 63 systems in the preoperational test phase. At the ecmpletion of preoperational testing, the systems are turned over to the ocerating company, Met Ed. Sixcy-five systems have completed their precceraticnal testing and have been turned over to Met Ed for operation. Items cossibly affectino safe startuo and coeration The Inccmplete Work List (IWL) centains all deficiencies identified during construction /preoperational tests and inspections. The IWL currently contains 8,400 items. tio attemot has been made at this time to identify those items which might affect the safe startup or cperaticn of the facility.
