Dear Mr. White:
Jersey Central Power t. L16ht com;mmy and Metropolitan Edison Company have jointly filed Amendment No. 6 to facility license appliestion for the previcualy designated Cyster Creet Unit 2 nnelear reactor. The applicants have selected as a new site for the reactor the Three Mile Island Suelear Station in Eauphin County, Pennsylvents, and have redesig:ssted the reactor as the Thrse Xile T=1mmi Nuclear Station Unit 2.
Teo sets of Volnaes 1 through 4 of the Preliminary Safety Analysis Rep 2rt (PSAR) for the Three Mile Island Nuclear Station Unit 2 are enclosed. This PSAR contains all iaformation previously furnished in the Cyster Creet Unit 2 PSAR and amendments thereto. In additico, new infarmatica is provided that concerns site-related chmages as identi-fled in the index. Two additio=al sets of the report are enclosed for your ceovenience in coordinating the Fish and Vildlife Service's review with the Federal Water Pallutica Control Administratim.
Because the site features vers reviewed previously far Xetropolitan Edison Con;any's Three Mile Islami Unit 1 and since the propcsed Unit 2 is siallar to Unit 1 now under constructica, it may be possible in certain enses to merely reference the applicability of your previous report on Unit 1.
However, in areas not censidered previcualy, we would appreciate your prcept review and ccaments.
