Jersey Central Power is Li6ht Ccapacy, Morristown, New Jersey, bas filed an application for authori.r. tion to cocatruct and operate a second cuclear reactor at its Cyster Creek site in Lacey Township, Ocean County, New Jersey.
The proposed Oyster Creet Nuclear Generating Statica Unit No. 2 is of the pressurized water type and is designed for initial operation at 2452 therssi ne6avatts with a net elec-trics.1 output of approxi=ately 810 megawatts. The applicant esti=stes construction of the facility vill be cc: pleted no later than December 1973 A copy of a related notice which has been transmitted to the Office of the Federsl Resister for publication is enclosed for the information of the Joint Ccmsittee.
