EXTENSION OF CONSTRUCTION ?EPMIT NO. CPPR-66 EXPIRATICN DaTE FOR TuE THREE 'ilLE ISLAND NUCLEAR STATION, UNIT NO. 2 DOCKET NO. 50-320 The U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (tne Commission) has reviewed Metrcoolitan Edisen Conoany, Jersey Pcwer and Light Comoany, and Pencsy1/ania Electric Company's (permittee) request to extend the expiration date of the construction per-it for the Three '.ile Island Nuclear Station, Unit No. 2 (CPPR-66) which is located in Dauphin County, Pennsylvania.
The permittee recuested a ten month extension to the cer~it througn February 23, 1973, to allow for completion of construction of the Three Mile Island plant.
The Connission, based on its analysis of the construction work and testing remaining to be done, concluded that a more reascnable latest completion date would be April 30, 1973.
The Comissicn's Division of Site Safety and Envircnmental Analysis has preparec w environm+ntal impact aporaisal relative to this change to CPPR-66.
Based on this appraisal, the Conmission has concluded that an environmental impact staterent for this particular action is not warranted because there will be no environmental imcact attributable to the proposed acticn other dar that wnicn nas already been describec in the Comnissien's Final Environmental Statement re od to comien of Three Mile Islanc.
