Dear Mr. Waldron:
Jersey Central Power & Light Company and Metropolitan Edison Company have jointly filed Amendment No. 6 to facil.ity license application for the previously designated Oyster Creek Unit 2 nuclear reacter.
The appils. ants have selected as a new site for the reactor the Three Mile Island Enr1ame Station in Dauphin County, Pennsylvania, and have redesignated the reactor as the Three Mile Island Nuclear Station Unit 2.
Yo ames 1 through 4 of the Pr=14=f,ery Safety Analysis Report (PSA?.)
for the Three Mile Island Huclear Station Unit 2 are enclosed. This PSAR contains all information previously furnished in the Oyster Creek Unit 2 PSAR and amendments thereto. In addition, new information is provided that concerns site-related changes as identified in the indez.
Because the sita features were reviewed previously for Metropolitan Edison Company's Three Mile Island Unit 1 and since the proposed Unit 2 is einilar to Unit 1 new under construct 1on, it my be possible in cartain cases to merely reference the applicability of your previous report an Unit 1.
