East Building, PHH-23 1200 New Jersey Avenue SE Washington, D.C. 20590 NOV O 1 2018 In accordance with the Memorandum of Understanding between our agencies, I request that you review the attached French Certificate of Competent Authority F/410/B(U)-96 (Revision Ad) for the MANON package and make a recommendation concerning our revalidation of the package for import and export use.
To assist you in your review, I am providing a copy of the package design safety report for the MANON package along with other supporting documents that I have received from our applicant, TN Americas LLC, in electronic form on the enclosed ed. TN Americas is requesting approval only for the content as described in Appendix 3 of the French certificate, composed of an external enclosure assembly (EDCE), loaded with the Marguerite 20 generator containing strontium-90 sources.
TN Americas has requested our issuance of a revalidation of the French certificate before May 31, 2019 to support shipments to the Nevada National Security Site as part of the Department of Energy's Off-Site Source Recovery Program.
