The flRC has issued two bulletins related to the Three Mile Island accident requiring action by operators of pressurized water reactors designed by the Babcock & Wilcox Compcay.
At the present time, the fiRC staff has not required operators of other nuclear power plants to take any new actions resulting from the accident at Three f1ile Island.
The preliminary notificatica (Pfi-79-77 fiRR) made available to the news media tais morning, indicated only that the staff is meeting with designers of other pressurized water reactors and utilities for the purpose of considering what additional actions should be taken, and is expected to advise utility opera ~. ors of pressurized water nuclear power plants of these new actions sometime tomorrav.
Both previous bulletins were furnished to operators of other reactors for information.
The fiRC staff is not contemplating recommending any new reactor shutdown at this time.
