ORDER January 8, 1980 By our order of December 18, 1979, we granted Robert Alexander leave to file a supplemental brief in support of his appeal from the Licensing Board's November 20, 1979 order denying his untimely intervention petition.

Mr.

Alexander was told that the supplemental brief had to be filed by January 4, 1980.

On January 3, Mr. Alexander sent a two page letter to us, in which he outlined the reasons why he believes his belated petition should have been granted.

At the conclu-sion of the letter, he requested that he-be allowed an un-specified amoant of additional time to file yet another and "more detailed supplementary brief".

, For want of a showf.;g of goed cause, we deny the re-quest.

If so inclined, however, Mr. Alexander may submit a reply to the briefs of the applicant and the staff should one or both of those parties oppose his appeal.

Any such reply brief must be filed and served (i.e., mailed) within 12 days of the later of the dates appearing upon the cer-tificates of service appended to the applicant's and staff's briefs. 1I It is so ORDERED.

[h}
