SUPPLEMENTAL REQUEST FOR EXTENSION OF TIME FOR FILING RESPONSES Gn December 28, 1979, Licensee Northern Indiana Public Service Company (NIPSCO) filed a " Request for Extension of Time for Filing Responses" to certain petitions requesting a hearing in connection with the requested extension of Construction Permit No. CPPR-104. That motion was granted by Order of the Acting Chairman of the Atomic Safety and Licensing Board Panel on Decem-ber 31, 1979. The date fixed for NIPSCO's responses is January 18, 1980.

NIPSCO has now received two additional petitions. The Lake Michigan Federation petition (served December 28) adopts petitions filed earlier by the State of Illinois and Porter County Chapter of the Isaak Walton League of America, Inc., et al. The City of Gary, et al., also requested a hearing and leave to intervene by petition dated December 31.

The issues presented by the last two petitions are essentially the same as those presented in the earlier requests. Therefore and 1744 040 0001 14013&b

for the reasons previously cited in our " Request for Extension of Time for Filing Responses," NIPSCO respectfully also requests an extension to January 18, 1980, of the time to respond to petitions of the Lake Michigan Federation and City of Gary, et al.
