Enclosed is a hard copy of the draft Environmental Assessment (EA) for the renewal of Materials License SNM-2514 for the Humboldt Bay onsite independent spent fuel storage installation, which the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff sent you via e-mail on July 29, 2019. Please submit any comments you may have within 30 days of the receipt of this letter to the attention: Ms. Cinthya I. Román, U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, 11555 Rockville Pike, Mail Stop T-4B16, Rockville, Maryland 20852. Your comments will be addressed in the final EA and finding of no significant impact, which will be noticed in the Federal Register.
The enclosed draft EA is not publicly available and is intended only for use by the staff of the California Department of Public Health. This Draft EA should not be disclosed without prior NRC permission.
