30MB TmtEAT At 8:00 a.=. cc October 16, 1979, the Daniel International Corporation telephone switchboard operator received a bo=b threat call from off site. The voice was cal:n and that of a young vos:an who stated, "There is a bo=b in the Control Building." She then hung up.
An evacuation and search of the Control 3diding was 4-ediately started. No bonb was found. No site evacuation was conducted.
The Sheriff of Coffey County, Kansas City F3I and ATF vere notified. The IAT and offices of Co==issioner Hendrie and Kennedy were notified by telephone on October 16, 1979.
No press release was made or planned by the licensee or NRC.
The site construction progress is currently reported at 37% co=plete. There is no SMt en site.
The ?reli=inary Notification is issued for infor=ation, only and no further action by IE is anticipated.
Region IV, Arlington, Texas, received notifi-cation cf this occurrence by telephone fron the KG&E Security Officer at 8:35 a.n. cu october 16, 1979.
