PRELIMINARY NOTIFICATION October 19, 1979 PRELIMINARY NOTIFICATION OF SAFEGUARDS EVENT -PNS-IV-79-07 This oreld-* arv notification constitutes EARLY notice of events of POSSIELE national se:urity or public interest sienificance.
The infernation presected is as initially received without verification or evaluation and is basically all that is known by IE staff as of this date.

30M3 TER7_C At 1:47 p.m. on October 19, 1979, the Daniel International Corporation telephone switchboard operator received a bo=b threat call from the on site extension No. 140. This is the second bomb threat received fron this extensten. The voice was cal = and that of a young nan approximately 30 to 40 years old who stated, "There is a bonb in the Aux Building." He then hung up.
An evacuation and search of the Auxiliary Building was i==ediately started.
No bo=b was found. No site evacuation was conducted.
The Sherif f of Cof fey County, Kansas City F3I and ATF were notified. The LC and office of Co issioner Eendrie and Kennedy were notified by celephone en Oct:ber 19, 1979.
No press relecse was =ade or planned by the licensee or NRC.
The site construction progress is currently reported at 37% co=plete. There is no SSM on site.
This Preli=inary Notificatics is issued for information only and no further action by 12 is anticipated. Region IV, Arlington, Texas, received notifi-cation of this occurrence by relephone from the KG&E Security Officer at 2:10 p.n. on October 19, 1979,
