Manual 1.
Purpose.
To establish a Quality Assurance Program for Industrial Radiography as required in Title 10, Code of Federal J
y ~f Regulations, Part 71.

Diccussion.

The final responsibility for the Quality Assurance (QA)
Program for part 71 requirements rests with USS YOSEMITE.
Design and fabrication shall not be conducted under this OA Program.
The OA Program is implemented us ng the following organization:

Established schedules of audits of the QA Prof-nm will be performe.d using written chec.: lists.
Recults of audits will be naintained and reported to the Cocaanding Officer.
Audit aeports will be evaluated and deficient areas corrected.
The h,..
audits will be dependent on the safety significance of the activity II,p being audited, but each activity will be audited at least once per

Audit reports will be ma,intnined as part of the quality hf.p*
assurance records.
Members of the audit team shall have no re-W' sponsibility in the activity being audited.
