Dear Mr. Seyfrit:
Installation of the various safety related/ seismically supported piping systems is currently in progress. As systems or portions of systems, i.e.,
piping between pipe anchors or other convenient piping / support groups, are completed, the piping contractor will verify by actual measurements, the as-built support locations. Deviations to design are recorded and submitted in accordance with existing procedures.
In addition, a functional verification of supports will be performed by the Architect Engineer's Stress Group prior to system turnover. Deviations from design locations or concerns about functional capability are reviewed by the Architect Engineer and an "as-built" stress analysis is performed as required. Any corrective action required by the revised analysis will be completed prior to system turnover from the Architect Engineer to LP&L.
