Dear Mr. Fiorelli:
On September 7, 1979 in a meeting with Region III and NRC OISE headquarters personnel, Toledo Edison committed to submit a report on primary coolant system pipe whip restraint design verification for the Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station Unit 1 (reference OI&E Inspection Report No. 50-346/79-23). The report was to be submitted to Region III by November 9, 1979.
On November 2, 1979 our Mr. E. C. Novak contacted your Mr. E. L. Jordan to apprise Mr. Jordan that the necessary background information from the Babcock & Wilcox Company was being delayed until November 21, 1979 due to their current work load. As a result, our final report submittal would be delayed until December 7,1979.
Mr. Jordan acknowledged the delay and requested that we notify you of this change.
