Dear Mr. Christman:
The members of the Appeal Board assigned to the above-styled operating license proceeding are in re-ceipt of your November 6,1979 letter with regard to errors that have been discovered in certain pipe stress analyses performed for Units 1 and 2 of the North Anna facility.
The Board would appreciate being furnished with a full report respecting the nature and scope of those analytic errors, whien report should elaborate upon the basis for VEPCO's view that they have no bear-ing upon the pending pumphouse settlement issue.
The Board is not now establishing a deadline for the sub-mittal of the report..But it desires an estimate by November 16 of the time which VEPCO will require to prepare, file and serve the report.
Once the report has been received, the Board will expect the NRC staff to comment upon it in writing.
The other parties to the proceeding may also submit comments if so inclined.
