NRC STAFF'S MOTION FOR AN EXTENSION OF TIME TO FILE REPLY PROPCSED FINDINGS OF FACT The NRC Staff's reply proposed findings of fact and conclusions of law are currently scheduled to be filed on November 30, 1979.
Staff counsel have been involved in the preparation of Skagit pleadings before the Appeal Board and the Commission and have assisted in other Commission evidentiary pro-ceedings. Consequently, Staff counsel have been unable to devote the time needed to complete the reply findings. Accordingly, the hTC Staff requests an extension of time from November 30 to December 21, 1979 to file these proposed reply findings.
Since the hearings in this proceeding have been indefinitely postponed and will not be resumed for several months, at a minimum, this requested r nsion of time will not delay any hearing or decision in this pro-ceeding nor prejudice any party. We have discussed this request with counsel for the Applicant and SCANP and they have no objection.
SCANP, however, did indicate that it wished to reserve the right to amend or supplement findings at a future date if the delay or other circumstances in this proceeding so warrant.
