Dear Sir:
Specification 4.2.3.1 of Appendix B to the Trojan Operating License (FOL), NPF-1, outlines procedures to be followed if milk samples cannot be obtainea as specified in Table 4-2 of Appendix B.
Milk samples are currently required by Table 4-2 to be taken monthly from Kelso (Dudonski Dairy), listed as Location 15.
This dairy is no longer operational and, from all indications, will not resume operations in the foreseeable future. In accordance with Sections 4.2.3.1 and 5.5.3(b) of Appendix B of the Trojan FOL, NPF-1, you are hereby advised that milk samples are nc longer being taken from this sampling location.
Although no suitable alternative to this site is currently available, Portland General Electric Company (PGE) is maintaining a continual aware-ness of milk producing animals in the Trojan environs. Should Kelso (Dudonski Dairy) again become operational or should another suitable milk sampling site develop, PGE will initiate a sampling program f rom these locations as soon as possible.
