PSC Letter to flRC, P-79012, J.K. Fuller to W.P. Gammill Dated January 11, 1979 Gentlemen:

The above referenced letter transmitted a report to the NRC on the subject of decalibration of the Fort St. Vrain (FSV) power range detectors experienced during control rod bank motion. The letter also requested that corrective measures described in the report be approved by the NRC for imple-mentation at FSV.

In support of the previous PSC modification request, a Cycle 2 detector decalibration report reflecting a different control rod withdrawal sequence and a different core fuel loading distribution from Cycle 1 is enclosed for NRC review.

PSC requests timely HRC action on this subject so that necessary modifi-cations to the detector circuitry may be initiated.
