Pursuant to the requirements of 10 CFR 71.12, Union Carbide Corporation, as holders of License No. 47-260-2, wishes to register as a user of the Chem-Nuclear Systems, Inc. CNSI l-8 radioactive materials shipping cask.
Package iden-tification No. for this cask is USA /9070/B, NRC Docket No. 71-9070.
In order to meet quslity assurance requirements set forth in 10 CFR 71.12 and pursuant to Appendix E, Item 1, Union Carbide Corporation has delegated to Chem-Nuclear Systems, Inc. the work of establishing the quality assurance pro-gram for Union Carbide Corporation, and has received a copy of that program which will be used by Union Carbide Corporation.
Union Carbide Corporation has retained responsibility for executing the quality assurance program as it pertains to purchasing, handling, shipping, stor-I ing, cleaning, assembling, inspecting, and operating the subject radioactive materials shipping container. As such, Chem-Nuclear Systems' Quality Assurance Program, QA-AD-001, shall hereforth be called Union Carbide Corporation's Quality Assurance Program.
