License Fee for Maine Yankee Proposed Change No. 71 The purpose of this letter is to forward to you a check in the amount of $1,200.00 as payment for the licensing review of Proposed Change No. 71. This change relates to secondary water chemistrv monitoring which was submitted September 13, 1979, Reference (b).
Maine Yankee Atomic Pcwer Company believes that the NRC revised fee schedule is illegal. We are aware that an appeal of the decision of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit is being considered and therefore submit the enclosed fee under protest without waiving our right to contest the validity of this fee or the entire NRC fee schedule, and without waiving any right to recover, in whole or in part, all fees paid or to be paid under the invalid fee schedule.
This fee payment was requested in your letter dated November 2, 1979, Reference (c). Should you have any questions relative to this matter, please contact us.
