Dear Mr. Leach:
This is in response to your letter dated October 10, 1979 in which you requested, pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, documents concerning the proposed Draft Environmental Impact Statement regarding the decommis-sioning of the Edgemont Uranium Mill located at Edgemont, South Dakota.
The information you requested has already been made available for public inspection and copying at the NRC Public Document Room (PDR),1717 H Street, N.W., Washington, DC 20555.
During an October 23, 1979 telephone conversation with Mr. Stephen Isaacs of my staff, Mr. Bruce Ellison of your organization was informed that the documents you desire are located in the PDR.
Mr. Ellison agreed with the suggestion that the request be sent to the PDR for processing.
However, as a result of 7our $25.00 limitation on copying costs, Mr.
Isaacs reviewed the file and due to the thickness of many documents requested that the PDR Reproduction Contractor copy only the correspondence file.
The remaining documents are listed on the appendix to this letter.
If you wish to receive these documents, copies can be purchased by writing directly to the PDR. The charge for reproducing records located in the PDR is eight cents (0.08) per page, as specified in 10 CFR 9.14(a).
The approximate number of pages per document is indicated in the appendix.
Upon your agreement to pay the reproduction charges, the PDR will arrange for the records to be reproduced by Potomac Research, Inc., a private reproduction contractor servicing the PDR.
You will be billed by Potomac Research, Inc. for the reproduction charges, plus tax and postage.
