On Saturday, November 17, 1979, you contacted Mr. E.

R. Kane of my staff concerning a potential concern regarding the structural integrity of seismic supports at ANO Unit 1.

Speci-fically, your concern related to the generic implications of this potential concern to other B4W plants.

B5W has evaluated the potential concern and concluded that the concern is not generic in nature with respect to BSW plants.

The specific concern raised was identified by the ANO Unit l's AE and was limited to information generated by the AE for ANO Unit 1.

In addition, we have learned from Arkansas Power and Light that, upon further investigation, no safety concern exists.
