University of California-Irvine, Docket Number 50-326, License Number R-116, Personnel Changes Purpose By way of this letter, the University of California, Irvine is informing the U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission of changes of the persons assigned the roles of the Dean of Physical Sciences, Chair of the Chemistry Department, and the Reactor Supervisor.

Background

In accordance with the UCI Technical Specifications part 6.7.2, upon permanent changes in facility

• organization involving Level 1 or Level 2 personnel, it is required of the licensee to officially notify the U.S. NRC within 30 days via written report.

Discussion The organizational structure at the UCI NRF has changed recently due to the normal rotation of positions in the Chemistry Department, retirement of the previous.Dean of Physical Sciences, and timely turnover of the position of Reactor Supervisor, all as of July 15\\ 2019 as described below by the departing personnel and their incumbent replacement personnel:

1. Dean of Physical Sciences: Dr. Kenneth Janda has turned over to Dr. James Bullock.

2. Chair of Department of Chemistry: Dr. James Nowick has turned over to Dr. Douglas Tobias.

3. Reactor Supervisor: Dr *. George Miller has turned over to Jonathan Wallick.

Action UCI NRF requests NRC review and acknowledge the information contained in this letter at your earliest convenience.
