September 18, 1979 letter from D. G. Eisenhut to C. Reed transmitting "NRC Requirements for Auxiliary Feedwater Systems at Zion Station Units 1 and 2."
Dear Mr. Eisenhut:
in Reference (a), Commonwealth Edison Company committed to providing the NRC Staff with a schedule for responding to the Staff's generic request for additional information regarding auxiliary feedwater system flow requirements.
The information requested is outlined in to Reference (b).
The Westinghouse Operating Plant Owners' Group has declined to include in its scope the NRC Staff's generic request.
Therefore, Commonwealth Edison has contracted Westinghouse to provide the requested information for the Zion units. Currently, Commonwealth Edison estimates that the requested information will be available for submittal to the NRC Staff by March 21, 1980.
Please address any questions that you might have concerning this matter to this office.
